BYU Climbs to 15 in AP Top 25 Poll, 16 in Coaches Poll

NCAA Football: Arizona State at Brigham Young Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

One week after cracking the AP Top 25 and Coaches Polls at number 23, BYU climbed to number 15 in the AP Poll and 16 in the Coaches Poll after its upset win over number 19 Arizona State. The Sun Devils dropped out of the polls. None of BYU’s opponents are currently ranked.

BYU should be able to breath a bit with South Florida coming to Provo on Saturday. The Bulls are 1-2 on the season and picked up their first win of the season Saturday over Florida A&M. They got blown out by NC State in the season opener 45-0. BYU lost to USF in 2019 and can’t overlook them by any means, but this should be a comfortable win for BYU and hopefully a chance for players to rest up a bit before an October gauntlet.

BYU opens October with a road game over 3-0 Utah State before games versus Boise State, at Baylor, at Washington State and versus Virginia.

BYU hosts USF this Saturday at 8:15 pm MST on ESPN2.
