From BYU’s press release: Bimini is located just 50 miles off Florida’s coast and is the closest Bahamian island to the United States, boasting miles of pristine beaches. Known as Ernest Hemingway’s favorite escape, Bimini is historically significant. Visitors from around the world enjoy its historical complexity and renowned past.
BYU’s first taste of a pre-season tournament under head coach Mark Pope was earlier this year when they participated in the Maui Invitational scoring victories over UCLA and Virginia Tech. Those wins helped catapult BYU into the nationally-ranked season they are currently experiencing right now.
